2014-07-02 Walk with Alphonso Lingis

(...) I try to count how many people open up to the surroundings in order to satisfy the elementary existential needs: hunger, safety, company, need to speak, be respected and recognised, how many eternal beggars step out from their shell only when they need something. And how many are there of those who share what they have without being asked for it? 1, 2, 3... 5...?
I try to picture how the city could look where at least 100 thousand people would live who would demand by giving something. We would smile like idiots!
