Naglis Rytis Baltušnikas was born in Švenčionėliai on July 1, 1960. In 1978 – 1983 he studied at Vilnius Engineering and Construction Institute where he obtained the architect’s specialty. From 1995 he is a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association. The painter has been participating in exhibitions since 1987. He has created a number of paintings and started working in the field of graphic arts lately.

2000 – the prize for the series of graphical works “LT” at the exhibition “The Best Artwork of the Year”, National M.K.Čiurlionis Art Museum.
2000 – NIFCA (Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art) stipend for the creative studio in Svalbard, Spizbergen, Norway.
