The action of the performance “Accidental Man” takes place in a train compartment. Two strangers travel from Paris to Frankfurt. One of them, Pol Parsky is a famous writer who has recently published his newest book, and next to him is his admirer, a woman named Marta. She doubts whether she should say that she recognised the writer or pretend that the writer is a complete stranger to her. It is a performance full of internal monologues that enables the spectator to travel in the labyrinth of heroes' thoughts.
The author of the play is Yasmina Reza, a French actress, prose writer, script writer and playwright. “The dramaturgy of Y.Reza represents light intellectual theatre. She returned an entire generation, for which serious dramas seemed too long and boring and light comedies – too banal, to the theatre.” (Sheridan Morley, “The Spectator")
