“Cyrano de Bergerac“

Šiauliai Drama Theatre will visit Vilnius, the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre with the newest performances “Cyrano de Bergerac“, “Easter” and “On One Summer Day”, which received attention of the audience, on the 3rd-5th of February. All performances will be shown at 6 p.m.

Šiauliai Theatre will present the heroic drama of two parts of Edmond Rostand “Cyrano de Bergerac“ (director Algimantas Pociūnas) on the 3rd of February. According to the director, the classical play was revived purposefully: “We long for words we do not use today any more. The play should restore the meaning of stage words”.

The drama of two parts of August Strindberg “Easter” (director Gytis Padegimas) will be shown on the 4th of February. The drama was written in 1900, when A.Strindberg explored issues of psychology and psychopathology.

The drama of one part of Jon Fosse “On One Summer Day” (director Albertas Vidžiūnas) will be presented on the 5th of February. It is a drama about a man and woman searching for their fiord, where they would be safe and loved.
