Bassoonist S.Kačionas. From the archive of kamane.lt

The bassoon ensemble Vilniaus Fagotynas: Šarūnas Kačionas, Artūras Mikoliūnas, Vaidotas Pleita, Arūnas Zujus will give a concert at Vilnius Piano.lt hall on the 3rd of February at 7 p.m.

The soloist Marta Lukošiūtė (soprano) will participate.

Vilniaus Fagotynas is the only bassoon ensemble in Lithuania as well as the Baltic States. It was founded by Šarūnas Kačionas, the passionate propagator of bassoon music, in 1994. Four musicians play in the ensemble. Playfulness is granted to the ensemble by the frequent change of its members. Still, the natural change of the members has some advantages: the ensemble is always young, dashing and experimenting.

The repertoire of Vilniaus Fagotynas encompasses music pieces from Baroque to works of contemporary composers.
