J.Mikulskytė. Dream Machine

The creative project of the graphic Jolanta Mikulskytė “Dream Machine” (kaleidoscope of graphics) will be presented at Vilnius graphic art centre Kairė-Dešinė (Latako Str. 3) on the 2nd of February at 6 p.m.

The exposition is formed of a cycle of dry needle, photo-polymeric engraving compositions of different format as well as three volumetric works on the theme of dream and illusion, manipulations of views. The latter works represent the turn of graphical compositions into 3D kaleidoscope objects with the help of mechanism of Dream Machine. The project is related with the simulation of the Dream Machine and visual game of communication.

According to the author of the project, graphical compositions – pictures created in the first stage turn into forms of interactive objects granting the allusion of action to compositions - simulation. "My decision was to exhibit the existing pictures and the special kaleidoscope interpretations, i.e. the new interactive forms of these pictures. My aim was the segmentation of existing pictures and creation of new images from already created graphical compositions until a new and hardly recognisable visual view is achieved,” the author states about her project.

The project may be seen at the graphic art centre until the 20th of February.
