The most memorable artists of Kaunas
The annual awards of the most outstanding creator of professional art is the tradition of Kaunas Artists’ Home. Candidates to be awarded the title of Artist of the Year are offered by creative unions and art users.
The final decision is accepted by the Board of the Artists’ Home operating as a public body. The diploma of the most memorable artist of the year is granted solemnly at the end of December, and his/her name is inscribed on the “Winged Column”, which is constantly exhibited at the Artists’ Home.
